“ I came here for dinner on a Saturday evening after 6:30pm. It wasn't too busy, but I noticed there were customers picking up their orders. There's a decent amount of seating (as long as you're not in a large group), so I decided to dine in. The ambiance is very cozy and comfortable. I ordered a combo plate of Chicken Teriyaki and Beef Teriyaki. It was reasonably cheap (below $14 including tip) for a combo plate with steamed rice, sliced oranges and blanched bean sprouts. Within 5 minutes, my order was ready. The owner was very cordial that she brought my order to my table. The Chicken Teriyaki was perfectly grilled, glazed, tender and the sauce was not too salty unlike other chain restaurants. The beef was thinly sliced and coated with the same teriyaki glaze. However, the beef's texture was fragile that it could have been more tender and meatier. The bean sprouts were just right and perfectly seasoned in sesame oil. Tokyo Fast Food is a great spot for quick authentic Japanese food fixings. I'll definitely return to try their sushi, tempura and other teriyaki dishes. They make their plates fresh, hot and on the spot in the Westside! ”

“ I can not believe this place exists! Tokyo Fast Food is one of the few places you can get such a cheap, healthy, and delicious meal - especially in West LA. Their teriyaki bowls will run you about $7 and is a perfect lunch. Portion sizes aren't huge but for the price, it's amazing. It's not a fancy spot and it's no frills but everyone there has always been friendly and quick. This is a hidden gem near Sawtelle and I hope it never changes! ”

It is still has the quality of food of a $$$ place in little Tokyo or too expensive spot in so bay....Simple tempura bowl. Please be patient, it's cooked to order. You'll be rewarded by the finest example of tempura cooking. Light, crispy, heaven. It was a varied combination 2 shrimp, assorted veggies. I liked the veg. kakiage it was mostly shredded potato, a bit soft & mushy, but wonderfully fried & unusual treat. The shrimp is the Best. Excellent quality,large shrimp not the small thin variety... Next time I will just get shrimp It was that good. I really like the small variety here. It's easy to miss in a very generic strip mall... Still the same family owned & operated & They're Japanese....that's why their food is way beyond 'fast food' Very fair prices.....still ! ”
